Art In The Village Exhibit Returns To Winnetka

Browse through a wide range of fine arts this weekend at the annual Art in the Village show, held at Hubbard Woods Park.

WINNETKA, IL — Art and music are making a return in Winnetka this weekend.

On Saturday, the Emerge Winnetka music festival will bring scores of concertgoers to the Skokie Playfields to hear seven different bands jam. In between sets, residents can stop by the North Shore Art League’s “Art in the Village 2021,” a juried show displaying the art of 45 artists from around the country.

The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 11-12 at Hubbard Woods Park at 939 Green Bay Road in Winnetka. The annual show was originally planned for June, but postponed to September due to COVID concerns, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune.

“It’s thrilling to have it back at Hubbard Woods Park,” North Shore Art League Executive Director Linda Nelson told the Tribune. “Not only for the artists that are participating, because this is their livelihood, but also the community so that they can enjoy a day outside in a safe environment and see beautiful art from all over the country.”

The show will feature a diverse range of art, from paintings to sculpture to jewelry to photography to mixed media. The NSAL’s website provides a full list of artists, with links to their website and the location of their booth.
