Board Extends District 36 Chief's Contract
Winnetka Schools Superintendent Trisha Kocanda will be in place through 2020.

The Winnetka School District 36 board of education extended the contract of Superintendent Trisha Kocanda for three years through 2020.
“The Winnetka Public Schools has benefitted from Superintendent Kocanda’s goal-oriented leadership, passion for innovation, and dedication to progressive education,” said School Board President Kendra Wallace. “She continues to provide strategic, long-term vision to our school community, and we look forward to partnering with her to meet the needs of our students.”
Kocanda became superintendent in 2014 after serving for three years in the District as Assistant Superintendent. Her contract would have expired in 2017, but the board’s unanimous decision extends it for another three years.
