Crow Island Elementary Locked Down for Suspicious Person Report
The school contacted police Wednesday after a phone call said someone with a gun was seen near campus.

WINNETKA, IL—Crow Island Elementary School was temporarily locked down Wednesday after a report of a suspicious person with a gun near the school, the Daily North Shore reports.
Police told the Daily North Shore that it received a panic alarm at about 9:23 a.m. from the school after it received a phone call about an individual with a gun. The campus then was put into lockdown while police searched the grounds, the report stated.
No suspicious individual was found during the search, and police are investigating the incident, the Daily North Shore reports, adding that it's similar to other calls schools in the area have recently received.

This was the final day of the school year for Crow Island, and the school day only lasted until 11:25 a.m.
