Cubs World Series Trophy Tour Coming To Glencoe

Cubs Trophy Tour comes to Glencoe Tuesday.

GLENCOE, IL — The Commissioner's Trophy is coming to Glencoe Tuesday.

The Cubs Trophy Tour will be stopping at Central School on March 21. Fans will have the opportunity to see the 2016 World Series Trophy in person and take photos .

The event will run from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m., according to District 35 Superintendent Catherine Wang.

"We're excited to share our cherished trophy with fans this offseason, as we celebrate such a historic World Series Championship," said Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts. "We can't wait for our fans to experience the joy of seeing this piece of history in person."

The tour has been planned to share the World Series Trophy with Cubs fans throughout Chicagoland and the Midwest. The first 500 fans will receive a wristband to ensure their ability to see the trophy. Additional fans will be accommodated if time permits.

Andrew Berlin, an owner of the Cubs with two children in D35, helped set up the tour date, according to Pioneer Press. He said the appearance would be a great chance for students, staff and the rest of the community to get an in-person look at the trophy.

"Why shouldn't Glencoe enjoy the special privilege of a visit?" he told the paper.
