D-36 Names New Principal Of Greeley School

Joshua Swanner had been serving as the school's interim principal.

WINNETKA-GLENCOE, IL - From The Winnetka Public Schools District 36: The Winnetka Public Schools announces that Mr. Joshua Swanner has been named Principal of Greeley School. Mr. Swanner has been serving as the interim Principal at Greeley since the beginning of the school year. This change in title reflects the District’s confidence in Mr. Swanner’s leadership, and a commitment to support the continuity and consistency that his skills bring to the Greeley School community.

“Mr. Swanner has proven himself to be a highly-effective leader at Greeley School. Through his proactive and collaborative communication style, he has built strong relationships with students, staff, and families,” says Dr. Trisha Kocanda, Superintendent. “He is deeply committed to ensuring high quality teaching and learning, fostering the District’s Shared Vision, and engaging in the Future Ready D36 Educational Master Facility Plan process.”

Mr. Swanner joined District 36 in 2010. He was a teacher at Carleton Washburne School for five years before assuming the Assistant Principal role at The Skokie School and then becoming Interim Principal at Greeley in August 2017.
