Dr. Robert Mardirossian Speaks on Challenges and Opportunities in Caring for Aging Parents at the Winnetka Library

Dr. Robert Mardirossian (Counseling Center of the North Shore in Winnetka) speaks on caring for aging parents Aug. 23 at Winnetka Library

The Winnetka Library will host a talk by Dr. Robert Mardirossian on the Challenges and Opportunities in Caring for Aging Parents at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23.

Dr. Mardirossian, of the Counseling Center of the North Shore in Winnetka, will explain the opportunities for positive family growth and education that occur as a family cares for an aging or declining parent.

His talk is part of the One Book Two Villages event the library sponsors each year. This year's chosen book is "Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant," by Roz Chast. The biography of the New Yorker Cartoonist discusses what it is to age in America today –and what it is to have aging parents today–with tenderness and candor, and a good dose of her characteristic wit.
