Easter 2018: Winnetka Holds Its 45th Annual Egg Hunt

The park district's family event in West Elm Park will feature "EB" the bunny, an interactive DJ, a balloonist and a live petting zoo.

WINNETKA, IL — The Winnetka Park District is hosting its 45th annual egg hunt Saturday morning at West Elm Park. The event will feature a live petting zoo, a balloonist and interactive DJ, inflatables and a chance for kids to take photos with "EB" the bunny, according to the park district.

The free hunt for treat-filled eggs is open to kids aged 8 and under. Participants were asked to bring their own baskets to collect. Kids under 3 years old can take part in the hunt by visiting the "Bunnies-in-Training" pen, offering a chance to explore unfilled eggs in a safe environments.

The event begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31 at West Elm Park, 11155 Elm Street. In case of rain, the hunt will move to the gym at the Skokie School at 540 Glendale Ave. Call 847-501-2040 for more information.

GLENCOE

The Glencoe Park District has relocated its spring egg hunt to the Takiff Center at 999 Green Bay Road, due to inclement weather. Following the hunt, there will be crafts and photo ops with the "Spring Bunny."

There will be four hunts, three for children and one for dogs.

Kids from 1 to 3 will start hunting promptly at 10 a.m., followed by those aged 4 and 5 at 10:15. At 10:30, kids aged 6 and up will have their chance, then dogs will get to hunt for doggie-treat filled eggs at 10:45, according to the park district.
