This very popular Glencoe Park District course gives young teens between ages 11-15 the knowledge, skills, and confidence to care for infants and school-age children. This course is a complete learning experience with videos, activities, hands-on skills training and discussion. Participants learn to perform first aid, identify common safety hazards and prevent injuries, make responsible decisions, and perform basic care routines like diapering, feeding, and dressing. A certified instructor from the American Red Cross conducts the training.
