Winnetka Lawyer Named Among Top 100 Super Lawyers In IL

WINNETKA, IL — Winnetka resident and attorney Patrick A. Salvi II was named to the top 100 "Super Lawyers" in Illinois.

Only about 5 percent of Illinois lawyers are added to the Super Lawyers list each year. The list serves as a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas.

The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.

Salvia is the Managing Partner of law firm Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., which he joined in 2007. He concentrates his practice of law in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, mass torts and product liability.

In his time with the firm, he has recovered more than $1.5 billion on behalf of his clients, including serving as lead attorney for a woman who developed breast cancer from breathing toxic emissions from a Willowbrook medical device sterilization plant, which resulted in a jury verdict of $363 million.

The verdict was the largest jury verdict ever awarded to an individual plaintiff in Illinois history at the time of the trial. Later, Salvi served as lead negotiator for settlements totaling $456 million globally for nearly 900 plaintiffs.

Throughout his career, Salvi has earned several honors, including being named Chicago Lawyer Magazine’s 2023 “Person of the Year" and inclusion in the 2025 Lawdragon Legends guide.

Salvi is an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), where he sits on the Board of Governors and also serves on the AAJ PAC Board of Trustees. He also is on the 2024 Law 360 advisory board for Illinois. Mr. Salvi has been a judge at American Bar Association (ABA) and AAJ trial competitions, as well as ABA Moot Court competitions.

Salvi is also a member of the Lake County Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
