PEER Services is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. PEER Services provides community-based substance use prevention and treatment services to teens, adults and families in Northern Cook County, including Evanston, Maine, New Trier, Niles and Northfield Townships, and the north side of Chicago. PEER Services reduces the harms of substance use, addiction and stigma by engaging youth and adults with innovative prevention programming and by supporting people on their path to recovery through holistic, evidence-based treatment. We provide affirming services to all in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Our Programs: Adult Treatment: •	Individual &amp; Group Counseling •	Intensive Outpatient Program •	Medication-Assisted Recovery for Heroin, Opioid Use or Alcohol Use Disorders •	Case Management •	DUI Risk Education &amp; Aftercare •	Alcohol and Other Drug Evaluations •	Recovery Support Specialists •	Recovery Oriented Systems of Care Coalition •	Substance Use Crisis Support at The Living Room (Evanston) •	Partnerships with the United States Probation Office and the Cook County Skokie Court House through our Second Chances Program Adolescent Treatment: •	Early intervention education •	Individual counseling •	Family Support Prevention Services: PEER Services prevention department partners with schools, local non-profit organizations, businesses, local coalitions, and others to help support the community to act as a united front in substance use prevention (SUP) and mental health support. We provide presentations, trainings, and resources for youth, parents, community members, local organizations, and other community entities on topics such as Alcohol, Cannabis, Current substance trends, Fentanyl, Life Skills Training, Decision Making, Peer Pressure, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Opioid Overdose, Prescription Medications, Tobacco, and Vaping

The Simple Gifts Concert Series will present Boston's Ensemble Aubade (Peter H. Bloom, flute and alto flute; Francis Grimes, viola; and Steven Sussman, piano) in a free concert of wide-ranging masterpieces for the unusual combination of flute, viola and piano. One highlight is the exquisite Kegelstatt Trio K. 498 by Mozart with Bloom on alto flute “wonderfully smoky and mysterious – EarRelevant). Also featured is the magnificent Trio Opus 45 (1856) by the great 19th
century composer Louise Farrenc. She was professor at the Paris Conservatory from 1842 to 1873, a renowned concert pianist, and an esteemed composer, acclaimed in her time but rarely heard today. The concert finale is Sonata for Flute, Viola and Piano (1976), a thrilling piece by Mexican composer Eduardo Angulo.&nbsp; The concert, held in the beautiful sanctuary of Glenview Community Church, is free and open to the public.

Explore the power of artificial intelligence in everyday life—join Lake Forest College professors Dr. Benjamin Zeller and Dr. Rachel Whidden for the return of this highly-acclaimed community engagement series
Artificial Intelligence and Everyday Life: Understanding, Engaging, and Applying AI
Registration fee: $450 for the five-week series

Course times: Thursday evenings, 6-8:30 p.m.
Course dates: October 15, October 22, October 29, November 5, November 12
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing how we learn, work, create, communicate, and make decisions. Held at the historic Krebs Center for the Humanities, this five-week series offers an accessible introduction to AI while exploring the ethical, social, cultural, and philosophical questions it raises – through demonstrations, discussion, and real-world case studies designed to help participants become informed and thoughtful users of these emerging technologies. Each week will highlight a new topic and begin with a social reception featuring food and refreshments.
Both the educational content and social receptions will offer opportunities to build community, engage with College leadership, and learn more about ongoing campus initiatives.
