Flooding Fix in Wilmette Could Cost $75 Mil

Study pinpoints three stormwater management projects.

An extensive, year-long study commissioned by the village of Wilmette revealed that fixing their flooding woes could cost as much as $75 million, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The study, which cost $265,000 in itself, featured suggestions for three stormwater management projects, with the taxpayers responsibility, if approved by the village, to come at anywhere from $40 million to $75 million.
