The Girls Spring Softball League is for girls in 3rd thru 8th grade. There are 3 divisions: Ponytail (3-4), Minors (5-6), and Majors (7-9). Each team will be coached by volunteer parents and will practice and play games from April 7 to the end of May. The Minors and Majors divisions will play in a season ending tournament. Park District staff will be putting together the teams. Ponytails will be placed by school and the minors and majors will be based on evaluations and one buddy request. Player evaluation is used to help balance the teams. Evaluations will be held, if needed, the week of March 17. Coach’s meeting is set for March 27. At the meeting, coaches will be notified of their rosters and schedule and will be given out along with equipment. Practices will be determined by the coach and games are typically played on Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday depending on how the schedule is. Fee is $135 for residents and $150 for non residents.
