Glencoe Village Board Holds 1st Virtual Meeting Amid Coronavirus
Trustees will get an update on the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the village's budget.

GLENCOE, IL — The Glencoe Village Board of Trustees is holding its first remote meeting Thursday. To best comply with social distancing requirements and Gov. J.B. Pritzker's statewide stay-at-home order, the village board meeting will be held over the phone and via online videoconferencing software starting at 5 p.m., according to village staff.
Trustees plan to discuss the potential financial impacts of the coronavirus pandemic on the village's budget for the rest of its fiscal year and receive an update on the response on the village's response.
During the meeting, Village Manager Phil Kiraly is also set to provide an update on the village's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also invited the president of Highland Park Hospital to provide an update on its parent company's response to the public health emergency, according to the meeting's agenda.

Some of the actions the board is considering as part of its consent agenda include:
- Executing a contract for $37,300 in sewer grouting services
- Approving the purchase of two mowers and authorizing the disposal of other equipment by the Glencoe Golf Club.
- Authorizing the village manager to execute a mutual aid agreement with the Illinois Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network.
- Extending a supplemental IT staffing contract.

Residents may submit public comments via phone or email to be read during the meeting. Voice messages of up to three minutes can be left at 847-461-1100. Emailed comments sent to glencoemeeting@villageofglencoe.org an hour or more before the meeting will be read during the public comment period of the meeting. Comments received during the meeting will be read at its end, village staff announced.
For emailed comments, staff asked residents to put "April 16 Village Board Meeting Public Comment" in the subject line, include their name, organization and any agenda item the comment may concern and to limit the length of comments to 200 words.
