Golf Outing Raises Over $22,000 For Family Service Of Glencoe
Nearly 80 Glencoe-area golfers took part in Friday's charity event in support of the local nonprofit.

Family Service of Glencoe: On Friday, September 13, 2019, nearly 80 golfers gathered at Glencoe Golf Club to play a round of golf and support Family Service of Glencoe (FSG).
These players were all from Glencoe and the immediate surrounding area. The course was filled with men, women, and children, all of varying levels of golfing ability. Guests were greeted by a cigar roller upon arrival at the course and enjoyed a delicious lunch prior to the afternoon shotgun start. During play, golfers participated in contests and encountered a variety of “whimsical surprises” such as Robbie Gold, guitarist/vocalist and a bourbon tasting, featured on hole 15. Hometown Coffee & Juice kindly donated several urns of hot coffee and a wonderful selection of cookies and donuts and the Men’s Library Club graciously underwrote the cost of the pizza offered on the course, ensuring that our golfers were well nourished and hydrated. The outing, spearheaded by event chair Rick Richker, raised more than $22,000 to support FSG. Thank you to the Birdie Sponsors: Jorden Brok & Loan Depot, Diane and Steve Miller, Louis Paster, Revolution Dentistry, and David Silberman & Weiman Silberman Attorneys at Law. Thank you to Newgard Custom Homes for their generous sponsorship of the beverage cart. Included in each golfer’s goodie bags were JiMMY! Clean Protein Bars, courtesy of Jason Wadler at JiMMYBAR!.
Members of FSG’s Board of Directors and Associate Council showed their dedication to the organization and the organization’s mission by volunteering during the outing to greet golfers along the course. We are extremely grateful to all of our amazing sponsors and players for their partnership in our mission. Keep an eye out for more information on next year’s event in fall of 2020.
