Graeter’s Plans to Open in Winnetka in the Spring

WINNETKA, IL - Graeter’s, a Cincinnati-based ice cream business that has become popular in areas where they’ve expanded including with one spot that opened in Northbrook in recent years, will add another North Shore location in Winnetka in the spring.

The new ice cream shop will be located just across from Hubbard Woods Park, according to the Daily North Shore.

The business and the village agreed long ago on the specifics, but the open date for Graeter’s was postponed from this year because of a code violation involving a contractor removing the floor of the space.

Work has since been halted as the building’s owner works out a dispute with Graeter’s, but a company spokesperson said construction is likely to pick up in January and an opening date could come by spring 2017.
