Handgun Stolen From Unlocked SUV
The firearm and a laptop had been left sitting in an unlocked vehicle in Glencoe Sunday night.

GLENCOE, IL — A Glencoe firearm owner woke up Monday morning to find that they had been burglarized. Between 10 p.m. on Sunday and 7 a.m. on Oct. 2, someone entered a Ford SUV that had been left unlocked in the 900 block of Elm Ridge Drive, police were told.
A Springfield 9 mm handgun and a laptop were taken from inside the vehicle for a loss of $2,500, a resident told police.
There were no other crimes, including burglaries to vehicles, reported in and around the area that night, according to Glencoe Deputy Chief Richard Weiner.
