Holiday Tree Lighting in Winnetka

The holiday season in Winnetka will be ceremoniously kicked off on Friday, Dec. 4 with the annual Winnetka Tree Lighting event at Station Park.

The switch will be flipped on at 6 p.m. that night, but visitors are expected to gather there 15 minutes earlier.

There will be a visitor from the North Pole and festive carolers in Victorian costumes to lead the singing, as well as hot cocoa after the lighting ceremony, according to a village news release.
