Hubbard Woods School Dedicates 'Aunt Ruth's Garden'

The Hubbard Woods School community gathered last week to dedicate “Aunt Ruth’s Garden,” a new outdoor space that was donated by the O’Toole family in honor of their Aunt Ruth, who was an avid gardener.

Hubbard Woods School alumnus Jack O’Toole, who currently attends The Skokie School, gave a speech on the significance of the garden. Jack’s mother, Linda, also shared her excitement that the family is able to support a garden curriculum at Hubbard Woods. On Tuesday, representatives from each grade planted garlic, the garden’s first crop.

Principal Dr. Daniel Ryan led students in singing the school song to celebrate the new addition to the school.
