Jewelry, Silver Totaling $10K Stolen From Oakley Avenue Home: Cops

Multiple phone accounts opened in victim's name.

The following information is from the Winnetka Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A victim in the 1100 block of Oakley Ave. discovered between 9:45-10:15 p.m. on June 23, unknown offender(s) forcibly entered the residence and removed various pieces of jewelry and sterling silver. Amount of loss in excess of $10,000.

TRAFFIC ARREST

Chiyanne H. Thompson, 23, Evanston was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license in the 200 block of Green Bay Road at 7:45 p.m. on June 25. Thompson was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to signal when required, and speeding.

IDENTITY THEFT

A victim discovered between July 28, 2014 and 11:59 p.m. on May 31, 2015, unknown offender(s) used the victim’s personal identifiers and opened up Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile cellular phone accounts. Amount of loss $5273.57.
