Late-Night Intruders Confronted By New Trier Staffer
Police are investigating a break-in at NTHS discovered by an employee at its Winnetka campus Tuesday.

WINNETKA, IL — A group of people broke into New Trier High School and fled after being confronted by a staff member before school earlier this week. Around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, intruders "unlawfully entered" into the school's 385 Winnetka Ave. campus before encountering the unidentified school employee.
Police and school officials did not say who the employee was, whether it was a security guard or what the staffer was doing in the building at that hour.
Later that morning, police and New Trier staff checked the building and determined it was safe and secure for the school day.
