Letter: Why I am voting for Holland, Lanphier and Rintz
Three candidates have given a tremendous amount of their time to Winnetka.
I don't want 7.6 MILLION DOLLARS of taxpayer money going to a private development.
I don't support the “independents” not going through the Caucus process.
I don't support people who voted for an $81+ million dollar tunnel, which also had negative consequences to Lake Michigan.

I don't support any 70 foot building in Winnetka.
I believe in thoughtful development that is paid for by the developer.

I support design that is in keeping with Winnetka.
I believe any development needs to be in keeping with our design, height, and density requirements.
I believe we need to keep Lincoln Avenue as wide as it is - there will be at least 40 units with an average of two people per day coming in and out twice - 320 new people per day on Lincoln Avenue, conservatively. We don't need to give away this space to a developer.
I believe in Holland Rintz and Lamphier - they have all given a tremendous amount of their time to Winnetka. I laughed at the “Independents” stating their experience as “having been a room mother” - hasn't half of Winnetka been a room parent? What experience do they really have?
