Lower Tax Levy Adopted by Winnetka School Board
Reduction of $3 million was recommended by CFO

A lower tax levy was approved by the Winnetka Public Schools Board of Education on Tuesday.
The Winnetka Talk reports a $3 million reduction recommended by Chief Financial Officer Susan Pingitore was approved by a 5-0 vote. The $3 million reduction will collect $34.23 million from taxpayers, which is less than the $37.23 million collected last year.
Board members indicated years of “over collecting” was the reason behind adopting the lower tax levy.
