Mansion on Glencoe Lakefront Sells for $8.5 Million
Private equity giant Avy Stein originally wanted $15 million for the amenity-laden mansion on the shores of Lake Michigan.
GLENCOE, IL - One of Glencoe’s most expensive homes was recently lifted from the market at a price of $8.5 million.
A five-bedroom mansion with three fireplaces, a gym in-ground pool and more than 300 feet of Lake Michigan frontage was owned by Chicago private equity executive Avy Stein until it recently sold, according to a Chicago Tribune Elite Street report.
Stein paid $8.1 million for the mansion in 1998 and listed it last year for $15 million.
