Memorial Service Saturday for Sarah McCausland, 19
The Winnetka teen died last weekend after being hit by a car while walking along a road in upstate New York, where she was a college freshman.
A memorial service for Sarah McCausland, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver over the weekend, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Winnetka Presbyterian Church, 1255 Willow Road, according to Donnellan Funeral Home.
McCauseland, 19, of Winnetka, and her friend Evelina Brown, 20, of Seattle, were both killed and a third person was injured while the group walked along a road in upstate New York near Bard College, where they were students.
McCauseland was a 2013 graduate of New Trier High School. Friends and family remember her as a gifted musician with a passion for learning and strong sense of integrity.
