Middle Schoolers to Perform 'Shrek the Musical'
Performances will take place at Central School in early February.

Submitted by the Glencoe Junior High Project
The Glencoe Junior High Project (GJHP) is pleased to present their performance of ‘Shrek the Musical.’
Director, Adam Busch leads the cast and crew of 70 sixth through eighth grade Glencoe middle-school students, in this family-friendly production.
Shrek The Musical, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to life on stage.
In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won’t be quiet, a villain with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and dozens of other fairy tale characters, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero.
Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek.
Shrek The Musical is part romance, part twisted tale and fun for audiences of all ages! The theme of Shrek sends the perfect message to it’s cast, crew and its audiences, it teaches you to be kind and accepting of others differences, to always believe in yourself and to be confident in who you are…it mirrors the philosophy of our organization.
Four performances will be held in Central School’s Misner Auditorium, 620 Greenwood Avenue, Glencoe: February 5, 2015, 7:00 p.m.; February 6, 2015, 7:00 p.m.; February 7, 2015, 3:00 p.m.; and February 8, 2015, 1:00 p.m.
