Winnetka

THEFT

  • Identity - March 10 at 12:25 p.m.
    • A victim discovered that an unknown person claiming to be with the Wintrust Community Bank Fraud Department used their personal information to make fraudulent transactions. The amount of loss is $2,999.98.
  • Identity - March 10 at 12:45 p.m.
    • A victim discovered that someone claiming to be with the Verizon Wireless Fraud Department used their personal information to redeem Chase Sapphire Ultimate Rewards Credit Card points. The amount of loss is $2,450.
  • Theft - March 11 at 11:13 a.m.
    • A resident noticed that a Victor Stanley Bench was removed from Indian Hill Park. The amount of loss is $3,500.
  • Vehicle - March 14 at 8:23 a.m.
    • A resident reported that both of their cars, which were unlocked with the keys inside, were taken from their driveway. They were later recovered in another jurisdiction.

BURGLARY

  • Commercial - March 11 at 2:34 a.m.
    • A gas station employee reported that an unknown person forced entry into the building and took merchandise from inside. The amount of loss exceeds $5,000, police said.

  • A 27-year-old Chicago driver was arrested for speeding 26-34 mph over the posted speed limit.

Glencoe

ARRESTS

  • Trespass - March 14
    • Glencoe police arrested a 41-year-old Wisconsin woman twice within the span of several hours following an investigation, authorities said. She was charged with criminal trespass to property and disorderly conduct.
  • Traffic - March 17
    • A 21-year-old Skokie woman was arrested following a traffic stop. She was cited for driving 26-34 mph over the posted speed limit and operating an uninsured vehicle.
