New Trier Art Students On Display in Chicago's Zhou B Art Center
Art students and several senior portfolios from NTHS to be featured in Illinois High School Art Exhibitions.
WINNETKA, IL — Artists from New Trier and their work will be exhibited at a Bridgeport gallery later this month as part of the 2017 Illinois High School Art Exhibition and its Senior Scholarship Exhibition.
The seniors' event displays the work of high school seniors who have accepted college scholarships from institutions partnered with the IHSAE and who have submitted a developed portfolio of work through the IHSAE program, according to the group.
The Feb. 26 event will be held beginning at noon at the Zhou Art Center at 1029 West 35th Street in Chicago. An award’s ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m., and the exhibit closes at 6 p.m.

Six New Trier art students will be featured in IHSAE, which includes some of the best art from more than 100 Chicagoland schools. include: Kelly Zabors (time arts), David Lee (photography), Hannah Schuer (mixed media), Julia Matyjas (sculpture), Claire McVey (painting) and Madeline Witt (drawing), according to the school.
New Trier artists featured in the Senior Scholarship Exhibition include: Alexis Brooks, Christina Chase-Markopoulou, Flavia Crainic, Carly Duris, Lillian Freemond, Ravi Jha, Chloe Keywell, David Lee, Neil Madlener, Alexandra Mantice, Claire McVey, Peter Schmisek, Paris Silverman, Emilia Smith, Nalani Wean, Lauryn Williams and Kelly Zabors.
