New Trier High School to Install Temporary Classrooms During the Weeks of March 9 and March 16

Police escort, road closures could affect residents as temporary classrooms are delivered.

Fourteen modular buildings will be delivered to Winnetka in stages for installation at the Winnetka campus of New Trier High School, to be used as temporary classrooms during the upcoming renovation project. It is anticipated that seven of the trailers will be installed the week of March 9 and seven will be placed the week of March 16.

Late afternoon on March 9, the first three of the temporary classrooms will be delivered to a staging area that has not yet been determined, for installation at the school during the morning of March 10. Three more trailers will be delivered during the late afternoon ofMarch 10 for installation beginning the morning of March 11. Finally, a seventh trailer will arrive at the staging area in the late afternoon of March 11, for delivery to the school the morning of March 12.

This cycle of delivery and installation will repeat during the week of March 16 with the remaining seven trailers.

The movement of the structures to New Trier High School will be accompanied by a police escort, and the community can expect rolling road closures as the escort proceeds through the Village. To see the route of the trailers through Winnetka, click here.
