New Trier Teacher Named 'STAR in the Classroom'

Jennifer Niemi of New Trier Township High School in Winnetka, has been named a STAR In The Classroom educator, sponsored by 3M and Econ Illinois. The award recognizes educators with a history of incorporating economic education in the classroom while providing a learning environment that promotes student success.

The award will be presented at the Econ Illinois annual Economic Educator Day Awards Luncheon held at the Union League Club of Chicago on October 27. Niemi will receive a certificate of achievement, a cash award, and will participate in a unique professional development seminar the day of the awards luncheon.
