New Trier's Horne Named Health Education Teacher of Year

Award for 12-year veteran teacher comes from SHAPE America.

New Trier High School teacher Andy Horne was recently named National Health Education Teacher of the Year (TOY) by SHAPE America – Society of Health and Physical Educators. Horne has been a kinetic wellness teacher at New Trier for 12 years.

The TOY award is given in recognition of outstanding teaching performance in school health and the ability to motivate today’s youth to make healthy choices for a lifetime.
