Northfield Obituary: George L. Peugeot, 91

The World War II veteran was a businessman who spent time working for Ford Motor Company in Detroit.

George L. Peugeot, age 91, died peacefully at home in Northfield, Illinois. He is survived by his daughter, Thierry (Steven Boch) Peugeot-Boch and 2 grandchildren Alexander and Rhiannon Boch.

George grew up in Hamden, Connecticut playing hockey for his high school team and later for University of Michigan where he received degrees in engineering and psychology. He earned his MBA at Indiana University.

George was a navigator in the Army Air Corps during World War II. George worked at Ford Motor Car Company in Detroit, Michigan as a negotiator for Ford with the union and a director of Philco and on special projects such as competing for the rocket construction with Chrysler in Lousiana. He then moved to Kenilworth, Illinois to become Vice President of Searle. Later he formed his own Investment Advisory Firm in Winnetka, Illinois.
George loved to ski, boat in Michigan and play hockey as well as write. His last book was Semi-immortality.

He will be missed by all his friends and family.
