Northfield Obituary: Joan Bruns Golden, 88

Joan Bruns Golden, age 88, a 60 year resident of Northfield, passed away on June 30, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Byrne Golden. Loving mother of Thomas B. Jr, (Sally), Kevin (Theresa), Robert (Elizabeth), Mari (G. Allen) Cole, Beth (Richard) Soltysiak and Terri Golden; fond grandmother of 13; proud great grandmother of 2; dear sister of Helen Ryan (Donald), Mary Schaub (Richard), Barbara Murphy (G. David) and Susie Cain (James); kind sister-in-law of A.J. Uniacke-Maloy, Cissy Guinan, William Golden and Helen McNamara.

Joan was born in Chicago, raised in Wilmette, and a graduate of Marymount College Tarrytown, NY, she proudly worked over 25 years at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co which was her beloved second family.

Visitation will be on Monday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd. at Old Orchard Road, Skokie, IL 60077.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at SS. Faith, Hope & Charity Church, 191 Linden Street, Winnetka, IL 60093.

Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
