Marshall Vincent Kearney IV age 38, of Charleston, South Carolina, formerly from Northfield, IL. Beloved son of Marshall Vincent Kearney III and Denise nee Ryan Kearney; loving brother of Emmett Kearney; dear nephew of Thomas (Mary) Kearney, Kathy (Jack) Dollard, the late Terrence Kearney, Rosemary (Thomas) Alexander, Monica (Chris) Thomas and the late Michael (the late Sandra) Ryan; fond cousin of many.
Marshall was a man who lived a life in service to others. His vision of and passion for service had no geographical boundaries. His paramedic career spanned most of the northern suburban areas to Saudi Arabia. He was a Lieutenant in the Winthrop Harbor Fire Department and a Captain in the Beach Park Fire Department. Lately, Marshall was an Anesthesia Technician at the MUSC hospital in Charleston, S.C. For the last five years, he was an enthusiastic and tireless member of a 40 person medical mission, sponsored by the Children of China Pediatric Foundation, and traveled annually to China to provide much needed surgeries to Chinese orphans.
Visitation Monday, December 7, 2015, 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. at Saint Philip the Apostle Church, 1962 Old Willow Road, Northfield, IL 60093. Interment is private All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
