The driver of the Toyota, John W. Schladt of Waukegan, allegedly swerved into the squad car causing damage to both vehicles. He stopped at the scene and was cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Cho was taken to Evanston Hospital and released later that day. He returned to work on Monday.
