Open Communities Holds Open House to Welcome New Director
David Luna will outline his plans for the nonprofit at Thursday's event.

More than 130 community leaders, neighbors and Open Communities supporters from the northern suburbs of Chicago have confirmed their attendance as we welcome new Executive Director David Luna and thank former Executive Director Gail Schechter for her 22 years of service.

During a brief program, Luna will articulate his vision for the organization, which is moving beyond a focus exclusively on housing justice to encompass support for all facets of just and equitable treatment of those who live and work—or seek to live and work—in Chicago’s northern suburbs.
