New Trier Township and the Village of Glencoe are partnering on an outdoor contactless children’s book collection drive at the Glencoe (Southeast) Metra parking lot on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The book collection supports Bernie’s Book Bank, a Lake Bluff based non-profit organization that sources and distributes books to at-risk children throughout Illinois.

Dr. Alan Goldberg, New Trier Township Supervisor stated, “the challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic underscore the importance of getting books to children in need. We are grateful to Village Manager Phil Kiraly and his team for hosting this collection in Glencoe.”
