Police Seek Owners Of Pit Bull Who Bit Winnetka Woman's Dog

Winnetka police are looking for a couple who owns two pit bulls after one of them bit a resident's dog Wednesday afternoon.

WINNETKA, IL — Police want to speak to the owners of a pair of pit bulls after one of them bit a Winnetka woman's dog Wednesday near the Cook County Forest Preserve and the Winnetka-Northfield border.

The woman was walking her dog around 3:20 p.m. in the area of Hill and Hibbard roads with a companion, when they crossed path with another couple walking two pit bulls, according to police.

"One of the pit bulls bit the ear of the victim dog," police said in a social media post. "The offending dog was described as a white pit bull with gray around the eyes and chest area. The owners were described as a white male and female in their early 20s."

Police asked anyone with information about the owners of the pit bull in question to contact the department at 847-501-6034.
