Native to North America, Quercus incana is a deciduous shrub-like tree that grows best in full sun and is known by the common names bluejack oak, upland willow oak, sandjack oak, and cinnamon oak. It is an excellent wood for fuel, fence posts, barbecue and also used as pulpwood for making paper.
