Results of Water Study Expected Soon
Stormwater samples have been sent to lab for results.

Results from a $125,000 water quality testing study are expected to be released soon by the village of Winnetka, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Samples of stormwater run-off have been collected by an engineering consulted hired by the village since last fall. Winnetka Director of Public Works Steven Saunders said the samples have been sent to a testing lab to “determine the levels of certain chemicals in the water to ensure the village is meeting required water quality management objectives.”
The study, which will also examine the samples to determine the levels of class chemical compounds known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), was launched in anticipation of Winnetka seeking approval from the Illinois EPS for building a $34 million Willow Road stormwater tunnel.
