Roz Chast, New Yorker Cartoonist and Author, to Visit Winnetka and Northfield
Tickets on sale now for Winnetka-Northfield Public Library's One Book Two Villages events at the Winnetka Community House and The Happ Inn.
Bestselling author Roz Chast, a New Yorker cartoonist since 1978, will be the guest and featured speaker at the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District's One Book Two Villages events this fall. Chast will present a book talk on her bestseller, Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant?
Chast is the featured guest at a cocktail party and reception hosted by the Library at the Winnetka Community House Thursday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. Meet Ms. Chast, and enjoy open bar and unlimited appetizers at the event. Reception tickets are $50, and include reserved seating for a 7:30 p.m. book talk and signing. General admission tickets for the 7:30 p.m. lecture and book signing are $15. The Community House is located at 620 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka.
A luncheon and book talk event featuring the author at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, will be held at The Happ Inn, 305 N. Happ Road in Northfield. Tickets for this event are $35, and include a plated lunch.

In this work, Chast addresses the realities of what it is to get old in America today–and what it is to have aging parents today–with tenderness and candor, and a good dose of her characteristic wit. One Book Two Villages is an annual celebration of reading and community. The Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District is excited to continue the tradition of excellence with this year’s title selection.
The book is a New York Times Best Book of the Year, National Book Award Finalist, winner of the Kirkus Prize, and a winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award.

The One Book Two Villages events are sponsored by the Friends of the Winnetka-Northfield Library group. Books will be available for purchase and signing both events by The Book Stall at Chestnut Court.
