Peeper Charged With Planting Video Camera in Ex-Girlfriend's Home: Police

The Winnetka man is accused of planting a small video camera in a Palatine woman's home.

PALATINE, IL - A 54-year-old Winnetka man has been arrested for planting a video recording device in the Palatine home of an ex-girlfriend, police said.

Steven Kocour, of the 500 block of Hill Terrace in Winnetka, is charged with felony unauthorized video recording and live video transmission, according to a Palatine Police Department press release. Police launched an investigation after a Palatine woman said she found a small video recording device hidden in her home.

Kocour knew the woman through a previous dating relationship, police said. The woman located the motion-activated planted in a dresser in her bedroom, the Daily Herald reports.

Kocour was arrested on Friday.
