School Board Members Agree to Redirect Incoming Crow Island Kindergarteners

School District 36 board votes incoming kindergartners will be sent to Hubbard Woods or Greeley elementary schools

Despite facing criticism from parents, School District 36 board members voted to reassign next year's class of incoming kindergarten students at a Tuesday meeting, according to the Pioneer Press. Students who would have gone to Crow Island School in Winnetka will instead be sent to Hubbard Woods or Greeley elementary schools for the 2017-2018 school year. Parents who attended the Jan. 24 meeting criticized the board for poor long-term planning and causing the overcrowding at Crow Island which has led to the decision.
