Several Charged with Excessive Speeding in Northfield This Month

Arrests have been made on Interstate 94 and Willow Road.

NORTHFIELD, IL - Police in Northfield this month have made several excessive speeding arrests, which have all come from people who do not reside in the village.

On March 19 at 3:47 a.m., police stopped a car for going 91 mph in a 55 mph zone on Interstate 94 near the Winnetka Ave. exit. They arrested the driver, Daniel C. Seeder, 21, of Northbrook for excessive speeding and two passengers - Tessa E. Williamson, 19, Northbrook and Ciara F. Eddy, 18, Des Plaines - for consumption of alcohol by a minor.

On March 20 at 11:40 p.m., Salvador Maldonado-Morales, 29, North Chicago was charged with excessive speeding after police clocked him going 105 mph in a 55 mph zone on Interstate 94 near Tower Rd.

Enrique C. Retana, 24, of Riverside was stopped for going 99 mph in a 55 mph zone on the Edens at 2:10 a.m. on March 22.

On March 21 at 3:59 a.m., Abdullah Ilahi, 24, Mundelein was allegedly caught driving 92 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Not all arrests came on the interstate, however. On March 19 at 6:07 a.m. in the 1900 block of Willow Rd., police cited Ellis R. Agnew-Downs, 27, Chicago for driving 56 mph in a 30 mph zone.
