A portion of our Prayers of the People each Sunday is the jarring part where we list the names of those shot and killed in Chicago each week. Join us for a firsthand look into the realities of gun violence in Chicago. Participants from the Family Matters’ Boys-to-Men Program-young men who have been directly affected by gun violence- have made a short film called Silence the Violence. They speak to their reality and offer insights on ways to promote peace. We will watch the film in the sanctuary on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 4:15. It will be followed by a panel discussion with some of the participants in Boys-to-Men. This event will be followed by the monthly Taizé service at 5:30PM.
