WINNETKA, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Winnetka Police Department and the Glencoe Public Safety Department.
Winnetka
THEFT
- Identity - Aug. 10 at 2:30 p.m.
- A resident noticed that an unknown person opened a loan for $3,486 using their personal information.
- Bicycle - Aug. 10 at 9:49 p.m.
- A resident told police that their unsecured bicycle was removed from their property, but was later found at 939 Green Bay Rd.
- Identity - Aug. 11 at 10:42 a.m.
- A victim reported that an unknown person made several unauthorized charges that totaled more than $5,000 from their checking account.
- Identity - Aug. 12 at 7:53 p.m.
- A resident reported that somebody had made an unauthorized purchase for $388.17 on their Chase credit card.
- Identity - Aug. 13 at 5:52 p.m.
- A resident reported that a check they had sent in the mail was altered to be worth more than they intended. The amount of loss was approximately $900, police said.

- Paint - Aug. 15 at 12:31 p.m.
- A police officer noticed that somebody had painted a telephone pole with white paint.
ARRESTS
- Traffic - Aug. 14 at 3:01 a.m.
- A 21-year-old Highland Park man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also cited for not having valid insurance, failure to signal, illegal stopping in the roadway and driving with an open container of alcohol.

- Traffic - Aug. 13
- A 35-year-old man from Bakersfield, California, was arrested for driving with a suspended driver's license and having expired registration.
- Traffic - Aug. 13
- A 34-year-old Chicago man was arrested for driving with improper lighting, driving an uninsured vehicle and having an expired license.
- Traffic - Aug. 14
- A 25-year-old Highwood man was arrested for driving without a valid license and having expired insurance.
- Traffic - Aug. 17
- A 29-year-old North Chicago man was arrested for driving without a valid driver's license or insurance.
