WINNETKA, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Winnetka Police Department and the Glencoe Public Safety Department.
Winnetka
TRESPASSING
- Vehicle - July 6 at 9:28 a.m.
- A resident noticed that an unknown person had gotten into their unlocked 2015 Audi Q3 that was in their driveway overnight. Nothing was taken.
- Vehicle - July 7 at 9:18 a.m.
- A resident noticed that an unknown person had gotten into their unlocked 2016 Volkswagen Golf that was in their driveway overnight. Nothing was taken.
THEFT

- Scam - July 9 at 10:06 a.m.
- A scammer claiming to be a Cook County employee instructed a resident to make $1,900 worth of Walmart cash deposits and Bitcoin transfers.
- Bike- July 12 at 3:36 p.m.
- A resident discovered that an unknown person had taken their purple beach cruiser with a basket that was left unlocked at Tower Beach. The bike is worth around $600, police said.
Glencoe
ARRESTS
- Traffic - July 11
- Two men were arrested following a traffic stop. According to the police, the driver was charged with an in-state warrant, and the passenger was charged with possession of cannabis in the passenger seat.
