Township Begins Giving Tuesday Collection for Food Pantry
Food Pantry Donations Sought During Holiday Season

New Trier Township announced its participation in Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2019. The international day of philanthropy is the official launch of the holiday giving season, with non-profit organizations seeking local support for their missions.
“When community members contribute to our food pantry, it allows us to provide items to clients beyond the scope of our budget, said Alan Goldberg, Supervisor of New Trier Township. Giving Tuesday is another channel where people can support our movement to end food insecurity.”
The township is seeking canned food items such as vegetables, soup and chili. Treats including packaged cookies, crackers, candies and other items that can brighten the holiday season are welcome Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monetary contributions can be made via checks made payable to the New Trier Township Angel Fund, Inc. located at 739 Elm Street, Winnetka, IL 60093.
