Township Summer Camp Scholarship Applications Available Online

As we emerge from the pandemic many parents will be returning to work or school and requiring safe, reliable child care options.

New Trier Township will once again offer Summer Camp Scholarships for children who are residents of the township for the summer 2021 camp sessions. Camp providers must be licensed in the State of Illinois.

Specific eligibility requirements include:
• Lawful custody of a child age 13 (entering 8th grade) or under receiving care in a licensed facility
• Residency in New Trier Township
• Full or part-time employment, enrollment in job training and/or attendance at a school program
• Family income meets income eligibility guidelines (listed on website)

Licensed program providers are defined as:
• Accredited Kindergarten or Preschool Programs
• School or Park District Affiliated Programs
• State Licensed Daycare Providers

New Trier Township Supervisor Alan Goldberg stated, “We are looking ahead to the summer months, when (hopefully) most residents are vaccinated and returning to work or school obligations. These scholarship funds help parents tend to their lives knowing their children are in professional programs.”
