PEER Services is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. PEER Services provides community-based substance use prevention and treatment services to teens, adults and families in Northern Cook County, including Evanston, Maine, New Trier, Niles and Northfield Townships, and the north side of Chicago. PEER Services reduces the harms of substance use, addiction and stigma by engaging youth and adults with innovative prevention programming and by supporting people on their path to recovery through holistic, evidence-based treatment. We provide affirming services to all in need, regardless of their ability to pay. The Winnetka Village Council awarded an additional $321,385 to A. Lump Concrete, the firm working on the village's larger stormwater improvement contract, to replace 1,225 feet of an existing 6-inch water main on Forest Glen Drive south, north and west.The existing main, which the Winnetka Talk reports has seen 12 main breaks between 1989 and 2014, was installed in 1939. Its replacement will be a new 8-inch water main.The Council unanimously agreed to waive the bidding process in order to only have one contracted contact for the project. With the addition, the village's contract with A.
