Village Of Winnetka: Illinois Aligns With CDC Masking Recommendations

On July 28, 2021, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced it is fully adopting updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) masking recommendations to protect against COVID-19 and the delta variant.

The CDC recommends universal masking in public indoor settings for everyone, including fully vaccinated individuals, in areas with substantial and high transmission.The CDC website contains a map of the United States that shows the current level of community transmission for each county. Cook County is listed as substantial community transmission.In compliance with CDC masking recommendations, visitors to all Village facilities will be required to wear a mask regardless of their vaccination status.
